Get to know me!

Hello! My name is Mariah, and I am an Austin-based graphic designer, artist, and photographer passionate about helping YOU bring your creative dreams to life in a thoughtful, aesthetic, and effective way!

To tell you a little bit about myself, I am a graduate of Dallas Baptist University, College of Fine Arts, earning my Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design in May of 2023. I have been building my design portfolio for nearly three years and have experience working in multiple jobs centered around creative services for the purposes of marketing, communications, and advertising. I have a passion for visual communications and have immensely enjoyed exercising my skills in these fields over the years.

At this time in my career, I serve as the Director of Communications at my home church, Austin Baptist Church. I have nearly three years of professional experience in the communications field during my time as a Freelance Graphic Designer for CHRISTUS Health, as well as for DBU Communications as a graphic designer, specifically within the Creative Services/Marketing branch.

I am proficient in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, especially in Adobe InDesign with layout design, as well as extensive work done in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Throughout my education and career, I have gained a very diverse experience with the projects assigned. Through these projects, I have been able to apply this practically to my all of work, both in a professional setting and in personal projects.

When I am not creating, you can most likely find me watching any pro Dallas football, baseball, or hockey teams, hanging out with family and friends, playing with my two dogs, or watching my favorite show, Avatar: The Last Airbender!
